President & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Daniel J. Goldstein, CPA, is President and CEO of Royal Oak. He is also the Sponsor of Royal Oak, which he founded in 2013 and 2014 with his friend and partner, Laurence Glazer. Mr. Goldstein serves as the Managing Partner of Cambridge Street Asset Management LLC and Cambridge Street Property Management LLC, the Asset Manager and Property Manager, respectively, for Royal Oak. In this capacity, he is responsible for all day-to-day operations of Royal Oak. Mr. Goldstein serves on the Royal Oak Board of Directors, as one of the Asset Manager-nominated directors, and on the Asset Acquisition Committee.
Mr. Goldstein earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, before returning to Rochester, NY in 1993 to begin a career as a public accountant. He practiced public accounting in Rochester for 11 years, with the last 4 years at the partner level. In 2004, he became the Chief Financial Officer of Buckingham Properties LLC, a Rochester, NY based property management and real estate development company. In 2007, Mr. Goldstein was named a partner in Buckingham Properties LLC. Mr. Goldstein transitioned out of Buckingham Properties LLC in early 2014 to focus on the role of President and CEO of Royal Oak.
Over the course of Mr. Goldstein’s 20 plus years in accounting and finance, he has developed well-rounded expertise in commercial real estate, particularly in the areas of financial analysis, negotiation, transaction structures and the financing of acquisitions and sales. His efforts in these areas, as well as his leadership roles within his companies, has resulted in well-structured, highly profitable portfolio growth.
In 2009, Mr. Goldstein was recognized by the Rochester, NY business community as a member of the Rochester Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” which annually honors forty young professionals in the Greater Rochester area for their professional success and community efforts. He currently serves on a number of Rochester community non-profit boards. In addition, Mr. Goldstein serves as an executive officer on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Rochester where he serves as chairman of its $15 million expansion project.
